Status Update: Modular moving tray

Having finished the orc mob I wanted to create a proper moving tray for the unit. It is a quite expensive option but the modular moving tray´s from GW is something that was missing back in the day.

 These being made of resin you can "cutom fit" them to your unit as well as paint them up in your scheme of course...

We used to make them from cutout cardboard but it alwas looked like crap, the model just kept on falling of as well when moving them during the game.

I did make a few tries to glue plastic sprue bits to the carboard and paint. The result often being a sligthly skewed moving tray as the cardboard didnt really like being painted on.

This one just had sand sand glued on, painted the same as the bases for the Orcs and then had static grass attached onto it randomly.

At the same time I decided to finish the banner with some highlighting for the red orc-like skull
