The orc mob has been moving along extremely slowly, there is not a good explanation for it other than laziness. So i decided a couple of days ago to make a push in completing it.
The good news is that since I did decide to shape up a lot of progress has been made. In this post you can see the progress
I need to make this push for two main reasons:
- 1. Motivation to paint the same thing for ever is killing the fun (also why i threw some Saurus warriors into the mix but that's another story
- 2. I want to field an OnG army sometime before retirement :-)
My way of painting the skin comes out better and better, the hard part is still the faces. To get a good transition between the colors on such a small surface is what i find the hardes.
Above is a good picture that shows the different layers used. From 1:1 mix of waagh flesh/Goblin green, to pure goblin green and then the last highlight with a 1:1 mix of Goblin green and Bleached bone.
